STEPHEN’S PRO TIP: One of the best tips for making ribs in the crockpot is to use a crockpot liner, making clean up a breeze! No more scrubbing out caramelized, burnt on sauce! They are awesome. You can find them in your grocery store near things like aluminum foil and plastic bags. They are a huge time saver.
Ingredients
4-5 servings
- 2 cups store-bought BBQ sauce(580 g)
- ¼ cup brown sugar(55 g)
- 4 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 3 teaspoons dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 4 lb (about 2 racks) pork back or side ribs
- salt, to taste
- pepper, to taste
- pepper, to taste
(NOTE: This sauce is AMAZING but if you are short on time, you can cheat by just using 1.5-2 bottles of your favorite BBQ sauce at the grocery store! My favorite brand is Diana’s Sauce)
Preparation
- Combine BBQ sauce, brown sugar, cider vinegar, oregano, Worcestershire sauce, cayenne pepper, and chili powder in a small bowl.
- Salt and pepper the ribs. Place ribs in slow cooker, and cover in sauce.
- Cook low and slow for eight hours or high for four hours.
- After the ribs are done, spoon the bbq sauce in the slow cooker over the ribs before removing.
- Cut the ribs, serve with bbq sauce.
- Enjoy!
